Hi. I'm Liya (pronounced Lee-ya). I'm a passionate designer who believes a clean and simple design aesthetic is often the most effective. I recently worked as Creative Director and Senior Designer for a small design firm located on the South Coast of Massachusetts where I created memorable identities and distinctive collaterals for various clients, from Academy Award winners to lightning protection equipment manufacturers.
When I'm not working on solving visual problems, you can often find me in Chinatown eating soup dumplings, at the driving range out-hitting all the muscle heads, or at home on my couch with my partner Nicole and our crazy cats. I have an affinity for screen printed gig posters, letterpress with "bite" and sharing terrible typography jokes.
What? You want to hear one? Don't say I didn't warn you: "What was history’s most well-spoken typeface? Times. Because Times Knew Roman." That sure was a knee slapper. Have a better one to share, or just want to hear more terrible jokes? I'd love to hear from you.
